Hard Candy



Perfect for any party: sugar biscuits with a heart of hard candy!


80g butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tbsp milk
20 fruit flavored boiled candies
Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt;add the butter and fold it in to make a crumble; add the egg, vanilla and mix;carefully add some of the milk until you can turn the dough into a ball.
On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough 0.5 cm thick. Cut thecookies to the preferred shape and then cut a smaller shape in the center.
Place the cookies onto a baking tray with a candy in the middle.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until candy is just melted. Cool on bakingsheet for 5 minutes, until candy is hard. Carefully lift cookies off bakingsheet with spatula.
