Chilli Jam



Ingredients

·            5 hot or medium chilli pepper
·            900gr of red bell pepper
·            350g caster sugar
·            600ml white wine vinegar
·            1 cooking apple
.            1 tsp salt

Method

Core, deseed the hot chilli and the red bell peppers; cut into small chunks
Remove the core from the apple and dice
Add all ingredients to a pan
Bring the pan to the boil. Turn the heat down leaving it at a rollicking boil for 15-20 minutes.
Use a hand blender and blend until smooth.
 When the jam is still piping hot pour it in sterilised jars with the help of a ladle (be careful not to burn yourself)
 Immediately screw the sterilised lid on the jar using oven mitt or gloves!
