Torta di Mele



4 apples
180 g all purpose flour
150 g sugar
2 eggs
20 g butter
70ml milk
1/2 lemon zest
1 tsp baking powder
2tbsp brown sugar

Preheat the oven at 180 C .
Peel the apples and slice them very thin.
Work the eggs and the sugar until very fluffy, either in a planetary mixer or with a hand mixer.
Then add flour, baking powder, milk and  lemon zest.
Pour the mixture into a round baking tin ( about 20 - 24 cm diameter) , previously buttered and sprinkled with flour.
Place the sliced apples  in a radial shape on top of the batter. Sprinkle with 2 spoons of brown sugar and distribute the butter cut in small pieces all over the top. .
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Let the cake cool before slicing.
