Sourdough Chocolate Chips Cookies



1 cup sourdough starter (50% hydration)
1/2 cup (125g) peanut butter (we used M&S hazelnut cashew and peanut butter)
1 cup brown sugar
180 g butter 
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour (plus a bit more if required)
1 tsp baking soda
1tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 180C.

Cream butters and sugar with mixer until smooth.
Beat in the eggs, sourdough starter and vanilla. 
Add flour, baking soda and salt together. Mix until smooth, if necessary add some flour to achieve the perfect cookie dough consistency.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Divide the dough into cookie size balls, place onto cookie sheet and press down with a fork.
Bake on centre rack for 15 minutes, until golden.



Biscotti alla pasta madre
1/2 tazza di lievito madre
1/2 tazza di burro di arachidi
1/2 tazza zucchero di canna
1 tazza di farina (piĆ¹ quanto necessario X ottenere la consistenza giusta)
1/2 cucchiaino di sale
1/2 cucchiaino di lievito X dolci
1/2 cucchiaino di bicarbonato di sodio
1/2 cucchiaino di estratto di vaniglia
Gocce di cioccolato (facoltative)
Formare delle palline con la pasta, schiacciarle con una forchetta e infornare a 180C per circa 15 minuti
